Director of Development
The Office of Advancement at Lebanon Valley College is seeking a director of development. The director of development is a senior level strategist, fundraiser and manager, responsible for oversight of the College’s development program. This individual works closely with the president, vice president of advancement, and trustees on principal gift strategies—as well as the setting of yearly goals, particularly those related to current operations giving, leadership, major, and planned gifts. S/he leads a team in formulating and executing plans designed to exceed these goals and support the College’s strategic direction. The director works with president’s staff and others to integrate emerging College priorities into all aspects of donor contact, maximizing financial support for LVC. This individual is responsible for securing major and planned gifts for the College and will actively manage a portfolio of approximately 100 prospects. S/he will be a critical participant in the planning and execution of an upcoming comprehensive campaign. The director’s success is evaluated primarily by his or her ability to lead a highly-productive, metrics-driven development team that meets and exceeds its yearly goals and positions Lebanon Valley College for ongoing fundraising success.
