Responsible for supporting the Superintendent of Schools with the daily supervising, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the K-12 education program.
Assist school and district leaders with providing appropriate leadership for the instructional program
Overseeing the Districtís compliance with NYS guidelines, NYS testing, mandates, and regulations
Assist with the District-wide strategic planning efforts to achieve educational excellence and equity for students
Assistant Superintendent is primarily responsible for curricular operations, instructional personnel/human resources, supervises the district instructional technology program, the district special education programs, MTSS, UPK, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion committee, all federal grant programs, district registration, all district-wide Dignity for all Student Act procedures and compliance (DASA), Districtís code of conduct efforts and specialized projects as determined by the Superintendent of Schools
Provides leadership and direction to operationalize the New York State CRSE framework to ensure fair and equitable treatment of students, faculty, staff, and families
Leads the curriculum council and K-12 subject area committees
Is responsible for the data collection of reporting for the District
Serves as the district test coordinator, DASA Compliance Officer, Title IX compliance officer, Civil Rights Compliance Officer, McKinney-Vento Liaison
Supervises the recruitment, application, and selection process for instructional staff
Plans and coordinates the staff induction and mentoring program
Coordinates the evaluation program of all instructional staff
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must have appropriate NYS School District Leadership certification. Experience as a previous school district leader is strongly preferred.
